Due to the complexity of the September issue Project XG
feature, unfortunately some mistakes would crept into the DIY feature.
We can only apologise and include the necessary addendums here.
It seems that Figure 3 on page 25 contains a number of errors. These
include; inline resistors from the Amiga audio input which are not included
in the current design. No pin numbers on the DB50XG header for the audio
outputs. The indicated wires are wrong anyway. The 25D and the 23D are
incorrectly labelled pin wise. Please refer to this correct diagram.

We left the Maplin MPS' contacts out of
the order form in the Project XG feature. Oops! Also, the Dual 10K log pot is indeed
£1.19 so don't be concerned with the incorrect Unit Price. The case is also
incorrectly specified in the parts list. The correct part is 'LH51' and not
'YN40T' as stated in the parts list. It also costs £4.58. You can also make the
DB50XG fit the incorrectly specified box by cutting off the corner posts and
using long screws to attach the lid. Maplin's details are as follows;
Maplin MPS P.O. Box 777 Rayleigh Essex, SS6 8LU United Kingdom Ph: 01702-554000 Fx: 01702-551229 |
Our apologies for the inconvienience. We found that Project XG has served
as a valuable learning experience and our future features in the regular
DIY Scene section will be more clear, easier to construct and yet every bit
as amazing as Project XG. E-mail us
if you should have a problem.
